Responding to what I read on Iranian.com by XerXes

This is a true story...

When I was in the third grade it became very apparent that I was having trouble spelling. My third grade teacher was a big fan of spelling bees and would divide the class into two teams. I wanted so badly to be absent on those days! It was particularly frustrating to me because no one wanted me on their side. I would go home from school utterly humiliated.

The words we were to spell were put in a bag and drawn by the teacher. I would get so mad because I felt I had really bad luck! I could spell everyone else's word, but when it was my turn I would get something incredibly difficult that I was not familiar with, nor would probably ever use in the third grade.

One day I had a breakthrough, as usual all the words were put in a bag to be drawn, and I listened and spelled every single word silently to myself, and I might add, correctly. Everyone was getting fairly easy words or at least ones I was confident spelling. Then It was my turn, I think I saw my teachers face fall a little just before he read the word out loud. In fact Mr. Martinson instructed me before he announced the word to take as much time as I needed and to sound it out. He was aware that I was struggling and that the luck of the draw had never been on my side. He also knew that I was highly scrutinized by my classmates and subjected to some harsh criticism. With his sincere encouragement I successfully spelled the word that helped my team to victory! My word was... OBJECTION. It's with a certain irony that I will tell you I will never forget how to spell this word!

Yes Obama is my president and I do respect the rules! I have a voice and an opinion and using it is very very American! You can be sure that the democratic process still works because come election time 2012 we will vote him out, regardless of all the gerrymandering that Rahm Emanuel has done to ensure certain politicians their constituents. I will not stand by and watch my country and the documents which it was founded on be disregarded.

I don't object to Obama, I object to what he is doing and who he is surrounding himself with. I object to the articles of control that are in the house and the senate, such as health care reform and cap and trade. I object to funding of the smart grid, climate change, cash for clunkers and I'm pro green! I am pro green the way my grandparents were, and their ideals of using what you have, reuse what you can, and to be responsible and respectful of the land and of all you see. Now environmental awareness has given way to a movement full of regulation and taxes for all. How is that going to help anyone! This somewhat reminds me of the Stamp Act of 1765 invoked by King George and British Parliament. Do you really need a history lesson?

I object to the formation of a civil national security force! See how well that worked out for Mussolini. I object to what the FCC is trying to do, stifle freedom of speech! And the idea of taking over the Internet in case of an emergency? Ridiculous! People have the right to speak in any form! I have the right to object and I do so in a peaceful manner but my voice will be heard!

I have to tell you that even though I did not vote for Obama I was excited to see him elected to office. I thought finally we have gotten past discrimination proving that equality does exist among men. I think many people felt the way I did. I also think many people that did vote for Obama, due to his policies and the decisions he is making to lead our country, have now changed their minds and hope that the American way of life will prevail. So you see...I'm staying!

WEE WEE'D UP

One of the things that Sarah Palin was highly criticized for during the 2008 presidential campaign was the way she spoke. People didn't care her folksy talk and her conservative views. What I find interesting is that I could understand everything she said but I have often been puzzled by some of her ridiculing opponent's linguistics. Do you question my intelligence? Perhaps I haven 't been educated enough to understand politics. Maybe I should look to congress and even our president for some vocabulary lessons.

A couple of days ago I was watching a small video clip of Barack Obama. Now I have adopted a new phrase straight from our president. READY? "Get wee wee'd up"! Love it!!! And so did the audience seated behind him. They all giggled and really seemed to endear him all the more for using language that everyone could relate too.

If Sarah would have said that she would have been sent to the slaughter house. Well I suppose that people could argue that Sarah just didn't have enough experience to be Vice President, and with John McCain being so old there was a good possibility that she could end up leading our nation! Meanwhile Joe Biden has said some of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Where is Joe anyway? Hmmmm. Joe Biden has been in politics for the last 30 years. No one can say that he doesn't have experience, so what's his excuse!

This gets me Wee Wee'd UP!

Sadly, it is exactly this particular phrase that generated the most reasonable articulation from the current white house press secretary Robert Gibbs

Scrooge McDuck

So I'm Scrooge McDuck! A geedy evil capitalist, not hardly. I'm just a working girl (watch it!) trying to pay my rent and help get my kids through college. Sometimes I have to give up certain things so I can have other things and often that's really difficult, but my actions have taught me the life lessons of value and respect for what I have and what I've earned.

I'm become increasingly concerned about the US dollar. The only time my dollar looks good right now is when compared to almost the rest of the world. Nearly all the foreign markets are in the tank. I'm still trying to figure out what a mess everything has become but there is one thing I do know. The value of the dollar is down 26% since just 2006, but has decline in value by 97% since 1913, I find that staggering. What happened in 1913?
The creation of the Fed. HMMMMM!

In 1971 President Nixon decided not to base our money on the gold standard. Why? Why not! We're good for it right! This is America! Good going there Dick! Today gold has doubled in value and is projected to reach new heights. Forty years ago an ounce of silver bought four gallons of gas, today it does exactly the same, not bad!

Ammo has also increased in value, but is this because of supply and demand? Look, not everyone wants to shoot up a Supermall! I think people are fearing that their civil liberties might be at stake. I became an NRA member for this very reason. I have always believed in the second amendment. I have the right to bare arms, that does not mean I'm wearing short sleeves, that means I have the right to protect what's mine, to defend myself and my way of life from threats both foreign or domestic and so do you! The surest way to a controlled society is one that is defenseless.

What am I saying? Has not Nazi Germany come to America? NO! I'm saying the principles and the foundations on which this country is based are being misplaced. So find them! Yes, things change, things always evolve and they should. One only has to look at the law of thermal dynamics to know that motion is "good", things that aren't moving "bad"(look it up kiddies). I don't think that we are on the right track. Compassion is good when there is real intent behind it but don't give up your choices so that you can have what someone wants to give you.

SNIDELY CRAVEN

Has there ever been just straight forward politics? Does anyone play fair? Say what they mean, do what they say. This is not a game. Legislation gets past that effects peoples lives. No one has all the answers for everyone, but we can at least just tell the truth and stick to our principles.

Look, has the government ever really told you the absolute truth?... Dramatic pause placement here for those of you who need to think about it...Why then do so many people want to depend on the government? The bigger it gets, the more expectations you have, the more you get lied to, the more interruption, intrusion, and disappointment you experience in your own life... and yes it's yours.

Do you know the sole purpose of the government, of these United States of America, and the adaptation of the US Constitution? Recognizing that every country needs law and order, otherwise there is chaos and anarchy, our founding fathers carefully designed these entities and its documents to structure the power of government so that it would not encroach upon its own people.

So, you voted these people in. You thought they cared. Nobody has really talked earnestly to you the way that they do. They can identify with you and offer you help and you can turn to the other members of your home, family, neighborhood and say, "They really get me"!

Who doesn't want to be understood? I know I do. Yes, there are some people out there that truly need a hand. I believe in hope, and when things are finally transparent as promised, I hope you will never say, "They really got me"!

A hero found

Just when I thought there was no one out there for me. I stumbled upon my true love. The two of us will live in blogging harmony as we are clearly one. You can check out my newest hero, an economist with an sense of humor and a toony tude, and smart enough to have figured out how to embed youtube into his blog cuz I haven't....Da DUH DAAA CAPTIAN CAPITALISM

NOOOOOOO!

So I realize that my first couple of postings were very vague on many accounts. I meant them to be. I will get in to a little more detail this weekend. Right now I would like to apologize to anyone who viewed this site the day I started. When I was setting up I opted to let google ads post to my blog. Google does this by an automatic recognition system that tries to match advertising to the general theme of your blog. When I viewed gold and ammo yesterday morning, there in the sidebar, glaring red and raging, was a somewhat inflated...shall we say... latex looking piece of men's apparel,
for her enjoyment too ad. I think the subtitle of my blog might have been the culprit...Messages from a no party girl. I took the ad down immediately...Even computer recognition can't accept a NO. Ha ha ha ha!!!!

I am deep thinker whose thoughts turn round and round in my brain until they finally make their way to page. No one is to say that my thoughts are terribly intelligent, but I can assure you that I would be difficult to match in passion and conviction.

You see, I am an incurable romantic just naive enough to believe that the US Constitution is not a work of fiction, but the brilliance of hard working people who experienced first hand the injustice of control and regulation by government, namely, the British Empire.

Isn't the word empire just an old way of saying new world order? I think the ideals are very much the same, and though not particularly funny, I'm reminded of one of my favorite cartoons...Pinky and the Brain. Pinky, at the end of every episode would inevitably ask Brain. "What are we going to do tonight Brain?" and Brain would always answer, "The same thing we do everyday Pinky, try to take over the world." Clearly Brain was a modern progressive and I wonder if the name Pinky has any correlation to the word Pinko. Despite all their evil efforts the cartoon always ends in failure.

So it is with my uncanny ability to type while still clinging to my guns and my religion, I will stay the course that was laid out centuries before me by those wild eyed dreamers we now know as the founding fathers of America....while making as many cartoon referrences as possible. That's pretty easy, everyone knows toon town exists in Washington. Ever hear of DC comics?

FERDINAND THE BULL

I thought I was one of a very select sensitive breed whose numbers were giving way to the more sensible realistic crowd. You know, those people who aren't afraid to tell you how it is, and use the phrase "because I'm a realist" using their version of truth as an excuse to be rude! How then, given their convictions were those realists swayed by the promise of hope and change?

It sounds like a wonderful idea, even fanciful! The notion certainly appeals to me as I begin to picture the humanity of everyone living together in harmony. I can hear Louie Armstrong's voice right now ...and I think to myself what a wonderful world.

It all just sounded so good and the status quo had to go, but no one bothered to ask... what is the hope and change? Did anyone tell them that their personal freedom was to pay the price? Oh, except for the freedom to destroy human life as we know it, that we can do at will. Unless of course, you are a convicted felon capable of doing the unthinkable, then you'll be protected. Some might even end up being sent to live in a tropical paradise.

What happened to my heroes? Who will take center stage to defend me, a constitutionalist. The ideals of hope and change, in my opinion, are directly responsible for the increase in value of gold and ammo, making them the most sought after commodities of the day. I'm saddened by this yet I am taking stock, I would rather my principles and values be the only thing I take stock in. I'm worried that this makes me appear slightly mad but this seems more like common sense to me than fantasy.

I have a bumper sticker that says Sarah Palin 2012 and underneath it says in very broad letters YOU CAN KEEP THE CHANGE...I like that!

More on Sarah later
